I have a long history of opposing Communist China and have one of my greatest strengths here in Taiwan through friends and business associations. However, but on this one, I have heard nothing credible at all that this was a planned attack upon Beijing on its own people and then spreading to the world.

In fact, there is strong confidence now that the SARS-CoV-2 virus responsible for the COVID-19 epidemic is not a bio-weapon - we know the full genetic sequence of the virus and scientists have compared that sequence with earlier coronavirus viruses that have infected man (SARS and MERS) as well as those that are common in animals found in the region. Based upon these analyses, the scientists concluded that it had little in common with the SARS and MERS virus and was most similar to a virus found in a bat species found in the region. They then concluded that the SARS-CoV-2 was the result of natural mutations rather than a deliberate genetic engineering of a virus that was known prior to infect humans.

So, on your side, can you share your evidence or provide some citations to give credence to your assertion? I am happy to read what you provide.

If there is a war with China or any other major power, it will not be another WWII. No more invasions or tank battles on the plains. Future wars will be with drones, bio warfare, and if it comes to a crisis point, nukes.
