Will be a lot simpler with a single M134 and tracer ammo. Quite a lot of shock and awe in that way too may knock some sense into people to stop doing heinous and evil acts.

Should be plenty of volunteers for firing squad duty in most cases.

So, what do you think they use? .30-06? 7.62?

Perhaps this?

The last time South Carolina executed a death row inmate was 10 years ago this week.

They might not have enough drugs to kill an inmate every DECADE or so? Gimme a break. This is stupid.

Or a nitrous oxide mask?

I LIKE it (a lot). That way, they laugh their HEADS and the ASSES off. And voila! a guillotine and a gluteo-ectomy in one fell swoop!

The problem with drugs is that even though the drugs are intended to kill the victim they have to be administered by a medical professional.

This is bad for two reasons: 1) doctors shouldn't be in the business of killing people, and 2) the AMA has gone libtard and most doctors are now refusing to cooperate.

It will always be easy to round up enough people to shoot a deserved criminal. It will soon be impossible to round up even one doctor or nurse willing to inject drugs.

Why not fentanyl? It seems to have taken plenty of lives and there seems to be plenty of it floating around on the streets.

Any one of these works just fine with the advantage of economy. One box requires no special handling, and last almost indefinitely.

Drugs on the other hand, even something as simple as Potassium Chloride IV requires medical personnel beyond a doctor making the death pronouncement. A 12ga. slug leaves no doubt as to 'dead right there' observation by anyone.

With a proper backstop the lead slugs can be recovered, re-melted and cast.

The KCl IV is cheap, cheap, cheap with the added advantage of feeling like napalm coursing through the veins as well as being capable of metering, fast or very slow depending on the crime and victim's family preference. That should be on the table instead of the quick and painless if the death penalty is meant to deter others as well as being punishment.

I am conflicted over capital punishment. It is still the taking of a life, even if it is a “low life”.

If there is ZERO doubt of guilt, not JUST a confession, I can go along with it.

The manner of execution troubles me also. Lethal injection seems too complicated and doesn’t always go as planned. (I’ve seen this problem a lot on TV).

Hanging again has its own problems. The breaking of the neck is supposed to be the manor of death, but sometimes the neck doesn’t break and then strangulation ends up being the manor of death. (I’ve also seen this multiple times on TV) Not pleasant.

Electrocution, do they still do that? (”Old Sparky”). Sometimes that doesn’t work as intended and they have to do it several times or increase the juice, not pretty. (I’ve also seen this multiple times on TV).

The gas chamber! This seems cruel and unusual to me. “The gas is visible to the condemned, who is advised to take several deep breaths to speed unconsciousness.”

Bullet to the brain seems quickest/cheapest/instant/reliable. I vote for that.

This is senseless. How about a massive does of freaking morphine? Or Fentanyl? Or a nitrous oxide mask? There are literally hundreds of drugs that a massive OD of would work.

Problem is how to obtain these drugs - the manufacturers have all gone twitterpated as they do not want their product associated with executions. They correctly claim that the products are not approved by the FDA for this indication. Further, a few have filed lawsuits to prohibit such use. So the LEOs would need to break the law by either buying street drugs or diverting pharmacy drugs.

You can suck down a LOT of nitrous oxide and not die.

Actually there are more than a few legal experts that have identified firing squad as the most effective and humane form.

A CO2 mask and lights out.

We are being bureaucratized to death. Eventually the Govt will bring everything to a halt.

There is no reason not to have this drug. So what, use a double dose of the expired stuff or call a veterinarian to get some.

A couple of evil monsters starved Terri Schiavo to death.

Call a Chicago gang member to do a drive-by. Or it might be easier to call the White House for Ashli’s killer.

Many death row inmates are still sucking up oxygen after 30-40 years.

Many prisons don’t let them choose their last meals anymore. It’s whatever the chowhall is serving or nothing.

Rat poison in the mashed potatoes would work.

Nitrogen Asphyxiation - simply the low cost, low mess, painless means of execution.

Strap the condemned down and attach a brain wave monitor
Cover the mouth and nose with a breathing mask
Attach to a 99% pure Nitrogen gas supply (cheap welding gas)
At the appointed time, start the flow with 1.1 atmosphere pressure.
Wait till the brain waves go flat, wait another 5 min.

Done

No mess to clean up and the condemned just falls asleep.

Back in the 1970s, they outlawed the practice so those who had X number of years on death row were let out of prison. Many immediately went out and murdered more people.

What do you mean you’ve “seen this problem a lot on TV”? Where are you watching live executions on television? Are you possibly confusing reality with a crime drama?

Would you have them select that last meal, too?

Yes, the family selects a wonderful meal with everything the slime ball likes.

Then the victim's family eats it while the slime ball gets to watch. Why waste good food on the condemned?

Utah uses four state officers with 30-30’s.
