Mayor Bill de Blasio said Thursday that Rudy Giuliani — once hailed as “America’s Mayor” for leading the city through 9/11 — “has come unhinged.”
The comments come a day after federal agents raided the former mayor’s apartment and office as part of an investigation into his dealings in Ukraine.
“It’s a sad thing to have to say about a predecessor,” de Blasio said on MSNBC’s Morning Joe. “But Rudy Giuliani has just come unhinged in every sense. He attached himself to Donald Trump but then went even farther and decided to be one of the most extreme voices in the Trump world.

How interesting the contrast: 20 FBI agents, donning combat regalia, show up heavily armed with the press somehow in tow during early hours, and raid Paul Manafort/Roger Stone/Rudy Guiliani, each of whom had pledged to voluntarily cooperate. Helicopters may be overhead, boats in a nearby river, armored cars. Contrast this to Jeffrey Epstein - no money for additional guards to prevent a once suicide try from doing it again; Hunter Biden - child pornography reportedly on the crackhead’s laptop, the FBI has it for over two years but doesn’t have the “resources” to investigate; Hillary Clinton - review your own emails and which are relevant and turn over those that are, you can disregard the 20,000 that deal with yoga and your family wedding, on your own judgment; an unnamed FBI agent - no issue that you took the murdered Seth Rich’s laptop home for a few days - we know you didn’t erase anything plus we just don’t have the “resources” to chase after it.
