Yes but if you put all the dumb kids in calculus you can be sure that they won’t finish the textbook in a year.

With this at best an incoming college freshman will be taking Algebra 2 which for a bright student should be done in 10th grade or earlier so that they are ready for calculus in college.

Those 3 years of one foreign language or 2 iterations of 2 years of foreign language, plus the AP math, science, history, literature classes or literature courses can be traded for remedial classes, band coir classes, theater would have been so much more useful.

To be honest - I graduated in Virginia with a standard diploma - I failed the foreign language aspect. Got kicked out of German 2 semester 2. My bad. No impact. So far but liberals know best. F’ing idiots.

In my neck of the woods the local HS has votech, and summer programs with the community college. Quite a few seniors graduate with AA degrees AND CDL’s. Cuisine arts, electricians all with AA.
Teaming with local shipyards some may streamline right into these industries, or medical staff training...
When I graduated there was none of this. Only the uniformed services offered a possibility. Heavy industry wad shutting down... it was... well I’m glad I got in, and I’m glad I had a 10-speed.
