A guy was a lead guitarist for a band. He was told one day that he was going to be replaced but he could still play if he played bass. But to play bass he, of course, had to have 1/4 of his brain removed.
Well, he needed the job and scheduled the surgery. When he woke up from the operation the surgeon was there and told him that he had made a mistake and removed a full half of the brain.
The guy said, “That’s fine. Do you have any drumsticks?”
As a former drummer, I find that...quite funny!
Sigh. One has to endure the “mental defective” tag as a drummer, but...we learned to embrace it and use it as a unifying component!
Studies have shown that drummers, as a group, have the highest IQs in most bands.
