YouTube Video: Recent mass shootings have once again put guns at the center of national debate, and President Joe Biden has announced new executive orders on gun control.
At the center of the discussion is a question: do gun control measures prevent crime or do they actually do the opposite?
To understand what the data says, I decided to sit down with John Lott, who has studied the impact of gun control measures for decades. He’s the founder of the Crime Prevention Research Center, and author of a number of books on guns and gun control, including most recently, “Gun Control Myths.”
In this episode, Lott breaks down the biggest misconceptions he sees around gun control, how media coverage skews people’s perceptions, and why he believes gun control measures will actually harm minorities and the most vulnerable.

Lott does actual science, so he must be suppressed!
Crime prevention isn’t their goal.
Long but excellent info. Lott suggests that the DemonRats could very well convert the piles of ATF Form 4473 into a national firearm registry with a simple law.
Private firearm ownership is fluid.
Except for my bolt and lever long guns, everything that generated a 4473 air sold or traded privately by now.
My inventory looks very different from my 4473s.
Everyone should inventory their firearms to see which ones have a paper trail and which ones don’t.
Wish I still had the ones I bought before Dec 1968.
