Yep. My kid brother was a paramedic in Miami for years.
They’ve been shot at, verbally/physically harassed, had their vehicle set on fire...you name it. He finally gave it up and moved to the woods, far, far away from any large urban area.
He has since armed himself up to the teeth.
I’ve found wise not to ask his opinion on these kinds of matters.
Someday I can see reverse walled cities. Instead of walls keeping the barbarians out like at the fall of Roman empire, the walls will be to keep the barbarians in.
I’ve never understood why they try to destroy somebody who is coming to help them.
