If any of the numbers presented are accurate, I have to consider
that the Ukraine is not the end point for Putin’s actions.
Further, China seems poised to take action against Taiwan,
and I will not dismiss the likelihood of this being the
opening gambit toward WWIII.
Am I wrong? I quite likely could be. I sure wouldn’t let
the other side get this far along without reacting.
The West better pull it’s head out. Preparedness may cause
caution on the other side, where it doesn’t seem to exist
presently.
Respectfully, you are wrong. It’s very unlikely this is the opening of WW3 as nobody will do anything militarily in response to Russia taking part of all of Ukraine and China taking Taiwan.
Imagine you are on the border of your state,
and the entire Marine Corps is lined up on the opposite
side. One might have reason to be nervous.
There can be no conventional war as in W.W. II, we and our adversaries can only go so far until we light the fuse of Nuclear War and then everyone loses. There are no winners there. Only limited wars can be fought that have no real objective except to enrich the Military Industrial Complex, nothing more. Thats was exactly what Vietnam, Korea, and the Middle East was about.
About Russia? Yes, you are. But not about China.
It's been our meddling in Ukraine, under Obama, that fomented a revolution that alienated those in Crimea and Donbass. We installed a regime hostile to Moscow that tried to cutoff access to the port in Crimea. There was no way the Russians were going to lose access the port.
There is no evidence that the Russians are going to go anywhere that aren't wanted.
