The international community must draw "clear red lines" with Russia, French President Emmanuel Macron said, including implementing sanctions after any "unacceptable behavior" by Russian President Vladimir Putin. He said, however, that sanctions alone are not sufficient.
In an interview with "Face The Nation" moderator Margaret Brennan, Macron said he "fully" shares Mr. Biden's desire to open dialogue with Russia. However, he said it was important to be clear with Putin "when we are not aligned."

“Now we just need Germany’s permission for where to draw those lines”
Are those Obama type red lines? I would expect nothing less from Mr. Macron.
We have a red line.
It’s called the Rhine River.
They can’t cross to the west side of it.
Yea, the plans for the fighting in eastern Ukraine must be submitted to the chancellor of Germany for approval.
This week Ukraine soldiers, with US military leaders were firing near the airport in Donebass......would Biden agree to pull out our military and let Ukraine fight their own battle?
We really have no legal right being there.
I love when countries like France and Germany start issuing red lines to Russia with no real ability to back it up....
Sort of like when a group of friends are hanging out and the two weakest of the group start mouthing off to the bully knowing full well the best fighter of the group has their back....
Basically start a bunch of crap and the stand back and let others deal with the outcome...
Perhaps someone should explain to this ferocious line obsessed Frenchman Macron that there will be no American sacrifice of blood or treasure settling a dispute between Russia and Ukraine.
As a precaution, Macron should reactivate the Maginot Line.
For some reason that rings a bell. I know I’ve heard if that before. Germany being involved in local affairs around Eastern Ukraine.
I am sure by “red line”, Macron means American blood.

Military spending in 2020:
Russia - $60.6 billion
United Kingdom - $61.5 billion
France - $55.0 billion
Germany - $51.3 billion
Italy - $29.3 billion
Poland - $12.04 billion
Russia is not the USSR that could easily overrun Europe. If Putin wants to throw down with the Europeans, the world will learn very quickly how small a country Russia is today.

Hey Frenchie, you are on your own. Don’t you know the U.S. military is on a 30 day stand down to weed out cracker supremacists. Call us in 6 months.
I thought the EEEEEwwwwwuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu was drawing Natural Gas pipe lines with the Rooskies.
Russia fighting from their homeland would be quite formidable. They’re weapons technology and warfighter ability could overrun the whole of Europe without US or Brit support.

True, if history has taught anything do not invade Russia in the winter.
But if Russia sends their 20,000 Cold War tanks into Ukraine to face a modern enemy, very little of that armor is making it back to Russia.
And American military muscle to enforce them.
