She does deserve some penalty for what she did.
There was no premeditation. There was no intent to kill, or even I injur the guy.
This is not murder.
Negligent homicide?
A person is dead on the back end of her screwup.
It’s actually sad all the way around.

The perp suddenly pulled out a firearm and the cop never had a chance.Whatever happened to "Keep your hands where I can see them"? That simple command, paired with "Keep your hands on the roof of the truck as you exit the vehicle" could have been life saving.
