Rep. Michael Waltz (R-Fla.) sent a letter to West Point’s superintendent, Lt. Gen. Darryl Williams about “information” that recently came to his “attention from unsettled soldiers, cadets, and families that raises serious concerns about the U.S. Army’s introduction of elements of critical race theory into cadet instruction.”
“While we should always eradicate extremism of all forms from our ranks and never tolerate racism, I am alarmed that this doctrine that focuses our future leaders on race in ways that will be detrimental to unit cohesion, destructive to morale, and strain the readiness of our armed forces,” according to the letter.
Waltz told the Washington Examiner that he was able to speak with Williams.
“We had a brief phone call, he assured me they’re looking into it and assured me that I will promptly get a more formal response laying out what’s being taught and why in more detail,” Waltz told the Washington Examiner, adding, “We’re going to continue to press and get to the bottom of it.”
The congressman, in an interview with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, said that he got evidence of a West Point lecture, titled, “Understanding Whiteness and White Rage,” adding that some families who spoke to him were disturbed by the content.
“This goes way too far: One of the things that has me so disturbed as a member of the Armed Services Committee and a combat veteran is when you come into the United States Army, is … from day one, you are all the same,” he told Fox.
Waltz, a former U.S. Army green beret, added, “You are told the only skin color you should worry about is camouflage… The enemy’s bullets don’t care about Black, White, or Brown, or political party or race or religion or any of that. And we shouldn’t care about it either as we are teaching the future leaders of the United States Army.”
Meanwhile, the congressman said that critical race theory-inspired lectures included at West Point is trouble for a combat situation. Critical race theory is a branch of Marxist critical theory.
“As a Green Beret, I can’t imagine being in a situation in combat where I am ordering a soldier to charge a machine gun and he now has the seed planted in his mind—am I sending him because he is African-American? Should I feel guilty because of White privilege?” he asked.
Interesting historical fact: This happened after the great mine explosion at the Battle of Petersburg in 1864 during the Civil War.
Known as the Battle of the Crater..."Burnside had initially planned to send a fresh division of black troops into the breach, [in place of burned out and exhausted white troops] but his superiors, Ulysses S. Grant and George G. Meade, ruled against it....
...Now Meade, having consulted with Grant, overruled Burnside’s plan to send in first his freshest men—the Fourth Division, consisting of 4,300 United States Colored Troops under the command of the white general Edward Ferrero. (Ferrero was a ballroom dance instructor who, like Meade, had been born in Spain.) Meade said the black troops were untested, which they were, but there was another, more political, reason. Grant later told Congress that if there were a massacre, and the black troops went in first, “it would then be said … that we were shoving these people ahead to get killed because we did not care anything about them.”
My ancestor was there as a 2nd Lieutenant of the 39th U.S.C.T. and survived the Crater, but was killed after the Battle of Ft. Fisher in 1865, when, due to the greed and stupidity of several of his soldiers (who entered the Fort's powder magazine with lit open torches while looking for Confederate loot) caused a massive explosion that killed over 200 Union Soldiers, including my ancestor, who were participating in a victory parade above. He's buried in a military cemetery in N.C.
Lt. Gen. Darryl Williams knows which side of the aisle his next star will come from. And it isn’t the GOP side.
I see some I would like to send to the front lines.
If I had a child or grandchild with any inkling of joining the military, I would do everything in my power to dissuade them.
The communists have won.
You would have to kill me before I would sit through one of those lectures.
“Caaaaannnn of biscuits. Busted.” (Sung to the song “Love Shack”).
I can just envision that wagging finger (with the 2” fake nail) wagging in front of my face. 🙄
One of the few things that will grab their attention is when the services have to keep lowering standards to meet their numbers. I fully expect to see legislation, in the near future, opening up the services to illegals in exchange for expedited citizenship. No vetting required, impossible to do background checks - what could go wrong?
Well, that’s obviously because you’re racist.
Or a draft in the very near future.
Those who believe that American military personnel will never fire upon American citizens on American soil, are deluding themselves.
That would never fly with the blue states and their precious little limp-wristed offspring.
Ping
Plus at the Citadel, VMI too along with ROTC and JROTC’s.
Russia China Iran North Korea are laughing their asses off
They won’t, it will be foreigners and foreign troops, and also feds. etc. domestic enemies. There are some to a lot of these enemies already “implanted” into our military that speak American English, etc. That is why you see in some of the military photos on this news thread the communism worshippers, etc. with their communist fist and communist t-shirt, etc. They are all infiltrated into our military and military schools, etc. Placed there by the CIA/feds./etc. They will ALL take out our entire military, etc. then they will use ALL the newly taken over US militarys’ weapons of war of every type on Americans en masse, etc.
Yamamoto went to Harvard.
Who was Yamamoto? I am guessing a communist? That does not surprise me coming out of any college, and especially the Supposed “best” colleges.
