The Democrats are using the military as tripwires—an excuse to start the war they love....so they can preach “unity in the face of our adversaries...”
Of course, we know our adversaries are not in a distant land—they are right here and are the criminal enterprise known as the Democratic Party.
Nothing like a war to get the Democrats to impose their dream of a Wilsonian Sedition Act.
Back in the 90s there was a great computer modern naval warfare game called Harpoon that I spent way too much time playing with. It was based on an earlier miniatures game. The game was by Larry Bond, who was given co-author billing on Tom Clancy’s second book, Red Storm Rising (look it up). Clancy used Bond to model the extensive air/sea battles depicted in the book, mostly in the North Atlantic involving Iceland.
One of the lessons of the game was that for the U.S., you really, really didn’t want to be close to land. Stand off with your carrier battlegroups, and locate and pummel the enemy. Stay out of range of short-based aircraft most of the time.
The idea of the US sending naval forces into a constrained area like the Black Sea, and expecting them to last 5 minutes in a real conflict, is absurd. This is why sailing US forces between Taiwan and China is similarly absurd, unless you’re absolutely not expecting conflict.
I’d pay big money to watch that!
But who would pay for an event that would be over in less than ten seconds?
Now if it were Michelle Obama and Hillary tag-teaming Putin...that might be interesting. (If Barack demands to be involved, he can be the girl who holds the round signs.)
