Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.), one of only 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach then-President Donald Trump this year, recently told the Atlantic why he remains committed to the party: “I’m a Republican because I’ve been a Republican far longer than Donald Trump has. He’s a Republican usurper.… I’m not going to let him take the party. So I will fight. I will fight like hell.”
It is a decision I have not for a moment regretted, because the GOP has become even more of a horror show than I anticipated. As former House speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) notes in a new memoir, the “crazies” have taken over. There are vanishingly few John McCain-style Republicans left; Kinzinger (a lieutenant colonel in the Air National Guard) is one of the few. The party’s center of gravity has shifted to kooks such as Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (who blamed Jewish space lasers for wildfires) and low-rent hucksters such as Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz (who reportedly shared nude photos of his sexual conquests with his colleagues and is under investigation for possible sex trafficking).

Kinzinger is toast in 2022. I live in Hellinois. I know people in his district. They're already organizing against him and every time he opens his mouth he just gives them more motivation.
When he says “the GOP can’t be saved”, he really means “the Deep State is losing control of the GOP”.

In the primary, Hillary and Obama both backed a different candidate. Hillary backed the skateboard riding fake latino from Texas, Beto O’Rourke. Obama backed Willie Brown’s back door woman Kamala Harris.
Neither one moved the needle among Democrat voters. Even Biden was having trouble until he got the endorsement of James Clyburn, the venerable leader of Black Democrats.
The Clyburn endorsement gave Biden the nomination. It was a deal arranged by Barack Obama. Biden only received that deal by agreeing to take the utterly unqualified Kamala as VP. Kamala is Obama’s sock puppet. But so is the increasingly senile Joe Biden. What we are living through is Obama’s illegal 3rd term.
Levin believes that Anwar Al-Awlkai’s kids, born in Yemen to one citizen parent, are natural born citizens eligible to be President.
If Ted Cruz is, they are.

Actually, Levin did disclose that his fiancée’s son worked for Cruz.
That is an earlier date than I remembered, although it is seven months after Trump announced.
Apparently Levin thought this revelation about his fiance’s son was a big deal judging from his angry reaction. Although angry reactions seem to be pretty common for him so who knows.

Seriously though I didn’t know Levin was so GOPe, what with the Reagan credentials (and a moment here for G.Gordan - there was a man). There is NO one I’d rather have arguing Constitutionality in any court. He just needs to go see the Wizard for some backbone reinforcement and the Tim Man’s oil can for that squeaking he makes when riled up.
