The entire justification for home defense. Shout it from the rooftops. People need to stay vigilant. My gun is always on my person when I am at home, except when I am in the shower and sleeping, when it is nearby. If I am working in the yard, my gun is in my pocket. If I have my pajamas on at night, my gun is in my pocket.
