I have seen many GOPe types claim a SINGLE conservative credential, like pro-life but then go and push a lot of decidely non-conservative, go along to get along type policies.
I believe the article says that she cast her electoral college vote for trump.
“Smith has been a fixture in GOP politics in Greenville, South Carolina, for 30 years.”
And what exactly did you accomplish in that thirty years, Ms. Smith? Did you keep up with modern culture, society and technology? Or were you the old Boomer demanding that everyone meet in person, moaning about people having smartphones and how Trump wasn’t *civil* and how unstatesmanlike he was?
it is lindsey graham worship, it is the failure of people to stop the open primaries in SC, it is the people who write the platform then go soft when it comes to voting.

Now to ruthlessly purge as many RINOs as possible from public office in 2022.
None of them recognize that. And when my 25 yo son tells me — “you know what has to happen, I know what has to happen, and everybody I know my age or yours knows what has to happen. But nobody wants to make the first move, because they know what will happen to THEM if they do it.” — you can only pray that some of them do recognize that. The only thing staying the hand of many right now is having a life filled with too much to lose.
That doesn’t mean anything other than her district voted for Trump. South Carolina has a ‘faithless elector’ law that makes voting for anyone other than the candidate the people voted for a criminal offense and simply counts the vote as having been placed for the proper candidate, so it would be pointless and only land her in jail if she did otherwise.

the other thing is school choice, the GOP establishment say they are for it yet dont suport it, wont support drilling /exploration off the coast and keep open primaries that allow cross voting from dems in repub primaries. that is why Lindsey wins all the time

The country has been taken over by Communists, because RINOS did nothing to stop them.
This needs to be done. Anyone walking into a precinct meeting believing they have they’re position locked down needs to go. This is being done at the local level. I hope we see the same thing in Ohio.
I don’t know, I think the questions I raised above are more than just valid when seeing that someone’s been in office for 30 years. Just what, if anything, has she accomplished? If she’s not just been a placeholder and continued to be active and doing everything she could to effectively push what she should, great! Sorry she lost her position.
However, the Republican Party has a great deal of problems caused by people that have been in office for decades that have either done nothing or have even actively collaborated with Democrats, either for personal aggrandizement or to “go-along-get-along” to “avoid rocking the boat.” This *has* to stop, and if it’s what she’s done, she needed to be ousted.
The technologically and societally clueless have to go as well. I recently heard that some of the Fort Worth Republican Party leadership was considering ‘placing newspaper ads to educate the young people about Biden.’
News. Paper. Ads.

All of them that thought this was a good idea should lose their positions.
I did search her on Google. Other than copies of this article, promotional pieces and business news, I found no references to any political achievements she’s had, no citations of accomplishments, no word of her leading any charges. Nothing.
I must conclude that she likely has been a placeholder from the go-along-get-along crowd that did little to nothing.
