I figured from the start we were doing things bassackwards...
Isolate the old folks, the folks with chronic health issues, anyone that usually has more trouble with respiratory illness; have them work from home and have their meals delivered, while the rest of us able-bodied and healthy just get on with it.
We would have probably had fewer deaths ultimately and a lot less dystopia.
IIRC, they tried that in Italy. It didn’t actually work because as a practical matter it wasn’t possible to isolate that many people.
