Why do all these businesses, from the MLB to Coca Cola to Delta on down to small businesses in a small state, suddenly think their business goal is to support the Dem party agenda?

I guess they think they’ll be rewarded by being collectivized last.

For one thing, those at the top of the corporate hierarchy are mostly liberal now, especially on cultural and social issues. It’s the values and beliefs of the elite social class they belong to, so they are personally happy to push this garbage.

For another, they fear woke SJW twitter mobs more than they fear normal conservatives, partly out of the correct assumption that normal people have lives to lead that goes beyond tweeting and threatening companies that don’t bend the knee.

If companies just ignored the mob and simply remained silent and neutral on political issues they’d likely suffer little or no financial harm, but fewer and fewer are choosing to take such a course. Maybe they think that conservatives are older, and so they’d better get in good with the more woke youth to keep a customer base for decades to come.

I don’t know, but it’s a powerful weapon in the Left’s arsenal.
