During the time of the Revolutionary War, there were Americans loyal to the Crown, there were neutrals and there were anti-Crown terrorists (sarc). Within the original 13 colonies the general consensus is that about 20% (~400,000) of the white population (~ 2 million) remained loyal to the British crown. About 45% considered themselves patriots dedicated to the revolution and about 35% were "fence sitters" that just wanted to keep a low profile and not be involved. Man
Then we have the Civil War - again we had a divided nation and great bloodshed.
Division is nothing new to our nation! Our Constitution was designed to accomodate division without bloodshed. Unfortunately, nations including our own, have experienced war as a 'continuation of politics by other means.'
Let's pray that our nation will come back to its founding principals without bloodshed!
Why?
Blood shed might very well be necessary to overthrow the tyrants that have conquered America
To fear bloodshed is to admit defeat and the loss of America
