If you ever wondered what would happen if that white, upper-class student body president, you know the one who used your student activity fees to pay for bike lanes on campus, were actually in charge of a federal bureaucracy, look no further than our Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg.
CNN reporter DJ Judd shared a video that appears to show a team of Secret Service agents unloading Buttigieg’s bike from the back of an SUV, then at least two SUVs following him as he mounts the bike and rides to the White House.

In the late 1970s, a 20-something Harvard MBA came to work in my dept. at a major defense contractor. She lived 45 miles away in East Dallas and work was in East Fort Worth.
She rode her bike 90 miles each day in those biker togs and changed clothes in the ladies room. Ate one grapefruit each day at lunch...nothing else. Petit, very toned body.
She was riding on major highways/freeways both ways.

I either rode a bike or hitchhiked 7 miles (depending on weather) to HS for 4 years.
On the best long downhill, there was a wide paved shoulder and I could really get up the speed on my Gitane 10-speed. I’d yell over to cars in the slow lane if their windows were open to ask how fast I was going. I maxed out at about 45mph on that downhill. No helmet, books in backpack.

Snopes: FALSE: Mayor Pete denies the story, stating that he traveled more than the 237.495749 meters to the meeting as shown on Google Maps. Also Mayor Pete did not present ID to anyone as he ‘mounted his bike’, therefore this could have been anyone, posing as Mayor Pete.

...but good question, and no clue. The entire remake of this country into a cross between India and Turkey depends on Pete getting his plan through. One thought, maybe they’re mad he (seemed to) buckle on the mileage tax so quickly, given the tremendous power it gave government to monitor, control, and restrict civilian movements...and thus end the ‘environmentally reckless’ era of single family homes, once and for all.
