Is Russia About To Invade Ukraine?

While the world is focused on OPEC news and Easter preparations, the Ukrainian crisis is heating up and there is a real threat of a military confrontation involving Ukraine, Russia, and Belarus. Currently, the Ukrainian military is fighting Moscow-backed separatists in the Donbas region. At the same time, heavy clashes with Russian-backed forces in and around Shymy have been reported. International pressure has been building on Russia to force a direct ceasefire, but no moves have been made. In recent weeks, analysts warned of a possible full-scale military confrontation as they considered the military moves in the region as provocations by Moscow. At the same time, most confrontations were localized, with no real regional impact yet.

The military stalemate, however, could well be coming to an end. A growing amount of reports have emerged showing not only largescale Russian military movements towards the Ukrainian border but also Moscow’s only regional supporter Belarus has deployed new troops to the Ukrainian border. As Julian Ropcke, a German Bild reporter, said on Wednesday, large amounts of Belarus’ military hardware, including BTR-80 armored vehicles and military trucks are moved to the border region. Kiev has already reacted to the growing threat perception by calling up reinforcements. Ruslan Khomchak, Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief, stated to the press that Russia is building up armed forces near Ukraine’s borders in a threat to the country’s security.

- How dare liberty loving Americans get in the way of an authoritarian external government takeover!

- How dare those Ukrainian people stand in the way of Russia taking over the rest of their country, and seizing their remaining natural resources!

Don’t those Ukrainian people know they are surfs of the Kremlin... Sheesh, how many centuries will it take for those pesky surf Ukrainian’s to get the message...?

- And the same goes for Moldova and Romania as well!

“Why have they waited? “

I’m thinking they were tied up in Syria and didn’t have financial resources for both.

Plus the politics of Nordstream.

I dont believe either will ever do a full scale invasion. Russia has been dinking around Ukraine forever. They are always massing troops and nothing significant ever happens. As far as China, they may invade one of Taiwans tiny almost uninhabited islands, but will never invade the main Island. They have no way to get that many troops 90 miles without being detected first, plus the inevitable sanctions would cripple their economy. They’ll just keep threatening forever.

Over the past Century, and in contemporary history, there has been no greater friend to the Kremlin, than the Clinton/Pelosi DNC.

Period.

>>Harris/Biden will not lift a finger to help either one.

Actually, they will lift a finger, and write a very strongly worded letter opposing this action.

The Russians would not be doing this if Trump was in office. For all the left-wing blather about Russian collusion, Trump was the worst thing that ever happened to Putin. Biden, meanwhile, is a senile old fool and Putin and Xi know they can roll him.

Look, the Ukraine is going to be run by someone. Russia, Prussia, Austria or Turkey.

Let the people in L’viv go and have all the gay pride parades the EU can provide. The rest of the people are basically Russians.

The issue (for Americans) is not a question of right or wrong between Russia and Ukraine. The issue for Americans is the degree of American involvement in the situation. Personally, I don’t think the USA has any vital interests at stake in the conflict and therefore should stay out of it.

Bidet is the most pathetic “President” in the history of the US— both Russia and China know now is the time to make their move....

“The Ukrainians shouldn’t have given up their nukes.”

Then there would be a nuclear war in Eastern Europe.

Because Russia is not going to give up Eastern Ukraine and Crimea.

It’s been theirs for over 400 years and they have over a million soldiers buried there.

For all the left-wing blather about Russian collusion, Trump was the worst thing that ever happened to Putin.

I don’t quite see that. Trump was (or tried to be) a realist about the world - particularly Russia and China. I believe he wanted more agreement with Russia, and spend US energy focusing on containing China. But it seems the US deep state, for whatever reason, absolutely insists on trying to break Russia.

China just signed a $400 billion/30 year development agreement with Iran, basically saying: US Sanctions? Yeah. Whatever. We don’t care.

And Russia is now saying - The new puppet Biden wants to call Putin a “killer” and continue pushing NATO on our borders? We’ll just finish the re-annexation of Crimea, thank you.

Could be the straw that broke the canel’s back:

A deepening water crisis in Crimea is putting severe strain on the Russian government’s finances and increasing pressure on Moscow to deliver on the promises it made when illegally occupying the peninsula, internationally recognised as Ukrainian territory, in 2014.

For several months, cities in Russian-occupied Crimea have been rationing their water. In most of the region, authorities only provide water for six hours a day: three hours in the morning and three hours in the evening.

This crisis dates back to 2014 when Crimea, already under Russian occupation, voted in a referendum widely regarded as not free or fair to become a province of the Russian Federation. Ukrainian authorities subsequently blocked the North Crimean Canal which had been supplying over 85 per cent of the peninsula’s water supply.

Crimea is Putin’s baby.

The Russians are getting ready to test Joe. And the Chinese are waiting to go into Taiwan.

Watch Joe send US troops to backstop the Ukrainians.

I can see him calling Merkel and asking her to send German tanks and troops. She would show them the tee shirt from the last time the Wehrmacht went to Kiev. That’s a big “No thanks.”
