Apple CEO rips new Georgia law, saying voting 'ought to be easier than ever'
The Hill ^ | 04/01/21 09:21 AM EDT | BY JOSEPH CHOI

Apple CEO Tim Cook criticized Georgia's new voting law in an interview with Axios published on Thursday, joining a growing number of CEOs who have condemned the new measure, which is seen as making it more difficult for Black people and other minority groups to vote.

"The right to vote is fundamental in a democracy. American history is the story of expanding the right to vote to all citizens, and Black people, in particular, have had to march, struggle and even give their lives for more than a century to defend that right," Cook told Axios.

The Georgia voting legislation was signed by Gov. Brian Kemp (R) last week. The laws limit the use of ballot drop boxes, create new voter ID requirements and prohibit people other than poll workers from giving food and drink to voters standing in line at polls.

Democratic lawmakers have accused the GOP-backed bill of being a direct reaction to the recent Democratic victories in Georgia during the 2020 elections.

Kemp and Republicans have said the effort is to make sure voting is done legally, and that people have identification to vote. They have criticized the media coverage as biased and unfair.

Political pressure has mounted on businesses in Georgia such as Coca-Cola and Delta, which both criticized the law this week.

"Let me be crystal clear and unequivocal, this legislation is unacceptable, it is a step backward and it does not promote principles we have stood for in Georgia, around broad access to voting, around voter convenience, about ensuring election integrity, and this is frankly just a step backwards," Coca-Cola CEO James Quincey said.

Major League Baseball is hearing calls to move this summer's All-Star Game from Atlanta.

"Apple believes that, thanks in part to the power of technology, it ought to be easier than ever for every eligible citizen to exercise their right to vote," Cook added. "We support efforts to ensure that our democracy’s future is more hopeful and inclusive than its past."

I have been voting for 45 years. I go to the polling place on election day. I have never understood what is so hard about it, but voting should at least have as rigorous requirements as buying a package of Sudafed.

I guess it would be simpler, if there was no doubt as to how corrupt and totalitarian the government and society have become. Slaves have simple lives. Eat, sleep, overwork, die.

Why should they even worry about voting, other than to just keep up the Potemkin Village facade.

They don’t need to vote, anyway. They will be provided with their political opinions, when necessary. Voting takes time away from drug addiction and gender reassignment. Who could ask for more?

this is all designed to intimidate other states into not changing their voting laws to make it less easy to cheat.

these companies are just like celebrities spouting off about things they don’t even know wtf they’re talking about and I’m sick of their opinion being given so much weight and attention. While the opposition is called names and censored.

Very simple Mr. Cook!

1. You prove who you are, you register to vote and sign your registration card.

2. On election day, you arrive at the poll and present your ID.

3. You vote.

Way easier than a Covid Passport, getting my driver’s license, or navigating my wife’s weekly grocery list.

Mr. Cook, you cannot be this obtuse?

These objections come from a simple, undeniable fact. These CEO’s and others complaining about the election laws have a low, very low view of minorities, black people in particular. The must believe blacks cannot function like every other ethnic group. They see themselves as superior saviors who view blacks as dumb and incapable of getting an ID, or voting like most everyone else in the state. Since when has such condescending racism been acceptable?

I don’t give a single crap what he has to say. Unfortunately... I do understand that the political system is filled with crooks who he buys off. The entire political system is nothing but a cesspool of corruption. There is a chinese communist stooge in the white house for crying out loud! ALL of dc is awash in commie/globalist bribes. Your vote doesn’t mean squat, they just cheat you out of a say in your government. IT IS OVER!

Corps with close China connections are hammering away at those Georgia reforms because they don’t want to see this happen
REVIEW THOSE GEORGIA SENATE ELECTION RESULTS

There were a series of fraudulent voting charges here. Were they enforced and corrected before this election took place ? If they weren’t is not a review called for ? They were created with the introduction of Covid 19 which Biden campaign thanks the CCP for doing; http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3940857/posts
If the Georgia Secretary of State is in charge of voting he has the responsibility of enforcing the state’s regulations as to who votes. And eliminate those from voter lists who don’t qualify.

Assign prosecutors to personally canvass and investigate. Check if military actually voted by asking them. Identify all voters by checking on legal age their residency and citizenship. If found they do not qualify charge Illegals including state visitors known as snowbirds also include any technical computer fraudulent Italian programming testimony when presenting to the court and get these election results tossed.

LINKED HERE ARE REASONS WHY THIS IS WHAT WE SHOULD BE DOING 90% of the military votes went for Biden ?

Do these people believe that black people are defective in some way that makes them unable to follow the rules which everyone else can follow without problems?

Are rules somehow too difficult for black people to follow?

What gives? How come they require "special rules"? Is it a mental handicap or what? Someone please explain why so many people believe Negro people don't know how to vote.

We know black people understand how to board an airplane. Black people know how to drive a car. Black people know how to collect welfare checks. Black people can use their electronic EBT card. Black folks know how to apply for Section 8 housing. But we are told that black people can not follow a simple procedure when it comes to voting.

Could you imagine undergoing brain surgery from one of these people who can't even figure out the simple rules of voting? Can you imagine the pilot of an airplane being unable to figure out how to cast a vote? I would not want them for my surgeon or my pilot.

1 be over 30
2 property owner
3 married with children
4 military service

you just need 1 of the categories.
