None of this changes the fact that Gaetz is a shite congressman who has accomplished nothing for the nation or his constituents. Just loves the cameras and the boobs who eat his schtick up on a national level.
There's a breed of politician who thinks their job is to "message", be controversial and do as many media hits as possible. There's another breed who want to work on a team and try to actually legislate.
The latter tend to resent the former and I think that's what you're seeing here - they see an opportunity to shiv a pretty boy who doesn't want to get his hands dirty.
You would probably see the same annonymous piling on if it was Ted Cruz or MTG.
