Phase III requirements were waived by the FDA for these vaccines, under “Emergency Use.” Emergency Use can only be granted if no other treatments are available. IMHO those taking the shots (that feel fine 2 weeks after getting the jabs) ARE the phase 3 trial participants...
And I seem to recall reading that some pharma companies have tried to obtain approval to do Phase 3 trials in the past on RNA type shots, but did not succeed in gaining approval due to safety concerns.
