Pittsburgh, Pa has a “H,” unlike the copycat Pittsburgs.

I have over the years noted how often our steel town has been misspelled.

I think in the 19th century there were a number of towns and cities with the “-burgh” spelling but the Post Office forced most of them to go to the spelling “-burg.” Pittsburgh, PA, was allowed to keep the H, as was Newburgh, NY, but few if any others.

Ah, yes, let’s not mix up the Pittsburgs with the Pittsburgh Penn State pedophiles.
