More than 200 Black Lives Matter protestors trapped customers inside a Wegmans grocery store in Rochester, New York on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident comes a year after a black man named Daniel Prude died after an altercation with the Rochester Police Department. Democratic New York Attorney General Letitia James said in February that no charges would be filed against the officers involved. Activists in attendance repeatedly yelled Prude’s name.
“In the course of the investigation, the Office of the Attorney General concluded that there was sufficient evidence surrounding Mr. Prude’s death to warrant presenting the case to a grand jury,” the attorney general said in a statement.
BLM protestors can be seen in several videos formed in a mob outside of the Wegmans, chanting. Demonstrations are also happening across the city.
“Wegmans is a system that upholds white supremacy,” Ashley Gantt said, a leader of the organization Free the People Rochester, that set up Tuesday’s disturbance.

One of these days these racist A-Holes are going to pull a stunt like this and their intended victims are going to decide they have had enough and teach the A-Holes a lesson they won’t forget.
New Yorkers are not even allowed to own a pistol without approval and licensing by the state government and very few requests by the general public are approved.
If we had an actual Justice Department instead of a Just-Us Department, each one of those people could be arrested, tried and convicted of Kidnapping.
I’m one of those who left Rochester. Left in 79 and never looked back. Funny thing though, this happened in the neighborhood where I used to work and hang out in, formerly known as Restaurant Row. Also went to school down the street for a year @ Monroe High.
