People do not realize how much work goes into being on the radio for three hours every day. It takes discipline, research and organization. Reading news is one thing but talking about ideas and concepts is another.

I agree it's a lot of work. Bongino did the research to fill three hours with just Russiagate numerous times. He could have done five hours, and it was clear and not repetitive other than brief recaps. When he goes beyond that he will need to do more work, but he has shown he can do it.

Couldn’t agree more. I think Prager - who I really like as well - just works better when he has someone to play off of. For the last couple of years, he’s done a lot of programs with Adam Carolla with Prager playing the religious social conservative and Carolla playing the agnostic traditional, small-government conservative. That worked well because it was both complimentary and entertaining.

You gotta be entertaining to some degree.

Well, I only do youtube now for that kind of stuff, and I use the Avast browser, which automatically edits out commercials. So I never see commercials. :)

It’s not easy to do a three hour show from a half hour show.

One of the ways Rush did it was to hold off getting to the point and talk all around it. Back in the early days it nearly drove me crazy.

People keep posting this misleading headline. Dan Bongino is NOT “replacing” Rush. This ONLY applies to Cumulus affiliates. Rush is syndicated by Premiere and iHeart Media. There is no word YET on what is going to become of Rush’s show.

I like Bongino on the Fox News evening line up.

I have not listened to his radio program, however.

I like his truculence.

He is also fighting cancer - in his neck, as I recall.

I think he might be a good choice to replace Rush.

Unfortunately, head and neck cancers are very dangerous, so that could become an issue again, in the near future.
