I wonder how much longer it’s be Rush reruns and mourning
The show should not be about the past but the FUTURE of conservatism, not just continuing re-runs of Rush Limbaugh’s monologues.
The danger is When listeners feel the show is about the past, they will stop listening.
Rush always said he didn’t want it “to be all about him.” I don’t think he would rest peacefully if his audience were drifting away because everyone who runs the show is afraid of it not being all about him.
I have no idea what the big plan is for the future, but it had better appear soon. The people running the show have to affirmatively break with the current maudlin tone and declare Rush’s wake over — none of us will love him any less. The owners are frittering away the fruits of all his work.

I’ve been a Rush 24/7 member for ages. But I find the current program impossible to listen to. Get the feeling his widow is calling the shots now and she’s not competent in radio. I won’t even turn it on any more. It is a waste of time.
I agree. Time to move on to some current issues.
There is no more Rush Limbaugh Show, it died with him.
I listened for the first time since Rush’s death.......
Hearing the music play was to much. Then not hearing Rush come on was it for me. I had to turn it off.
I agree.
Nothing against Ken Matthews, but I’d like for Candace Owens to get an audition if she wants one.
I cannot listen to the reruns..................
I think there has to be a creative way....once a good (new) host is found (who is worthy of commanding the golden, EIB mic) to work in a “Pearls of Wisdom” spotlight, highlighting Rush’s proven and prescient take, on a topic/issue of the day/hour.
I agree with this sentiment, but I was thinking it was just me. They’re going to start losing listeners if they don’t move out of this mournful phase. We need to go forward, not backwards.
Nobody can replace Rush, the show will eventually splinter. Just like nobody could replace John Carson, and you can’t have another “Woodstock”. These things are once in a lifetime.
There’s some “magic” in the “first” of something and when that magical first happens the natural reaction is to want it replaced or repeated. I can’t happen. These people and events are too special and unique.
Something new will come along, it’s unpredictable.
There was this guy on one of the local Columbus, Ohio stations for years named Chuck Douglass who reminds me a lot of Rush. The station went all nuts and changed up its programming, even getting rid of Chuck’s young sidekick, Cory someone or other, who took over for him when he had a falling out with the station. The sidekick wasn’t bad either. Even the sidekick’s sidekick grew on me.
There are probably several lesser known radio people out there who could surprise people if given a shot.
Mr. Rogers is completely correct. The new format is NOT WORKING. I repeat—— NOT WORKING! 29 year listener who has already switched to Dennis Prager during the same time slot. I have another conservative friend who has also switched to something else.
I like Steven Crowder. He comes closest to Rush in terms of combining humor with the politics.
He’s gone - move on. Mauldin crap is a turn off. Get Mark Belling
thanks for the tip, I’m unfamiliar with him.
I like hearing all the past clips as if he were still with us and we are listening to his opinion of the topic at hand.
I love the opening music. Rush gave us that tenor of thinking that made us think boldly.
EIB is probably trying to think of a way to proceed. I think if they just picked a tape from the past that relates to what is happening today, I would be fine with that.
Well, if it was the “Johnny Carson Show” instead of the “Tonight Show”, they’d still probably be talking about Johnny Carson.
