PITTSBURG, Calif. (KGO) -- The perception of Black girls being more adult-like is one of the contributing factors to higher rates of harsher punishment in schools. Black girls are disproportionately expelled, suspended, and arrested.

If the black girls behave anything like some of the restaurant videos they love posting on YouTube, it is easy to see why strict discipline may be needed.
Self discipline needs to be taught along with self respect. Home and the Bible are places to start.
I know, wasting my time because big daddy government encourages and excuses bad behavior. They teach the blame it on someone or something else method for black youth.
I agree. I used to think some of the other kids were more adult like. Black, white, asian, hispanic, etc. And my kids were sweet innocent babies, even in high school. I think the adult like kids were street smart. No necessarily more mature. Got into more trouble. My kids were shy and didn’t want the teachers calling them out. They all turned out just fine. Didn’t use drugs or get tattoos or piercings or PG.... There were “adult like” kids who got PG as early as 6th grade.... Growing up too fast isn’t always a good thing!
Going to school since 1995 - Have a good day, and don't let that teacher give you any guff.

GIRLS OF EVERY RACE WHO OBEY THEIR TEACHERS AND DO THEIR HOMEWORK AND OBEY THE LAW STAY OUT OF JAIL 99% MORE THAN GIRLS WHO DONT.
I agree! I hear about things that young kids and young adults are doing, even the riots, looting, arson, etc. I keep saying even if I did that NOW, I am in my 70s, my 94 year old mother would march to my house and blister my butt! My folks always said, “Whatever you get at school, you will get twice as bad at home” Never got paddled. I was so afraid of my folks. This is called RESPECT for elders! If I had behaved like today’s misbehaving kids, I would still be unable to SIT down!!!!!!!!! My butt would still be BLISTERED.
he he he That is so good! When our youngest was in 5th grade he came home one day and said
“You said Mrs Fassler was nice!”
I said, “She is nice.”
He said he had talked in class and she made him go sit at a table by himself. He assumed I would take his side.
I said, “She is a good friend of mine. Don’t you dare act up for her and embarrass me!”
He never did again. Poor Little fella couldn’t stand up to TWO grown women! LOL
A day without physical violence for urban black female high school students would be rare. Almost none of it is reported.
Adult-like in what way?
AMEN!!!
I remember ONE TIME I left school early. For lunch. When I came back in the principal who was our neighbor, stopped me and talked to me about this. Later the teacher, who had also been my Sunday School teacher talked to me about it. I had signed out of helping her to go to lunch early. Just lunch, totally innocent. She was so hurt and angry. She told me to never sign out of her class time, helper hour, to leave school early. I had her for several business classes.
So the principal and my main teacher really gave me an earful! Small towns are a good thing. Everyone knows you. You can’t get away with anything. Lucky for me my folks didn’t hear about this one!!!!!!!!!! I was an 18 year old senior but they would have punished me severely.
All you need to do to see the truth of this situation is watch 5 minutes of WorldstarHiphop videos.
The solution is simple. Expel them on the second offense. Prefer charges if there is any hint of illegal behavior. And do not ever, ever hire them.
Feral is as feral does. And no civilized society can coexist with feral predators roaming at will.
They’re perceived as more adult because they, especially when lacking a strong, positive male role model in the home, adopt male traits of aggression and bravado, leading people to mis(?)interpret it as maturity.
There’s no respect for elders anymore. Youth have boiled down elder respect to “Okay Boomer,” and it’s turned into a meme. We were raised to listen to our parents, and when we got older, our world views were adjusted based on our upbringing. Nowadays, kids are allowed to form their own opinions without consequence or question, and those irrational toddlers grow up to become irrational, emotional adults with no basic understanding of how the world functions.
Black girls are disproportionately expelled, suspended, and arrested...but NEVER involved in violent acts, lewd and anti-social behavior while rejecting any and all accepted norms and authority.
Is excessive discipline the product of disproportionate behavioral issues?
How tiring it must be to live your whole life seeing yourself as a victim. It’s all so counter-productive.
Black Girls get suspended at a high rate, Gee I wonder why...
That is absolutely incorrect - written by someone who didn't spend 10 years in a majority blacks "skool" (as I did).
Black girls are suspended more often because of their aberrant and often horrendous behavior - and that is from majority leftist teachers and administrators.
If a black child is suspended these days it is because their behavior is completely out of control and dangerous, otherwise, as far as suspensions and expulsion, they can't be touched.
Also, many psychotic children are mainstreamed these days - the school district will tell the public it's so they can have "the same access as every other child to a normal classroom" - the real reason is many of the psychotics are non-white and the cost of handling them is approximately three to five times that of "educating" a child in a "normal" classroom.
A dear friend who taught special ed for 30 years told me what he had in his classroom is what he used to see locked up in psych wards when he worked there, his "regular" students were all mainstreamed.
We’ve seen plenty of videos. It’s not excessive discipline that’s a problem.
