On Monday’s broadcast of CNN’s “AC360,” Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) stated that we won’t be able to “get our kids back to school safely” or get the economy running the way it should, “unless we crush the pandemic.”

We had a pandemic back in 2009...Fauci even CALLED it a ‘pandemic’. Where was the hysteria THEN, Bernie? Oh, wait...different President. I see.
The most obtuse idea abroad in the land these days is that politicians and bureaucrats can control or even stop a force of nature.
Someone needs to tell that dottering old fool private schools have had students back F2F five days a week since August.
How about We’re not going to get our children back unless we HOMESCHOOL or send them to CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS.

Why doesnt the press ask these questions
“What is your definition of “crushing the pandemic”?
“How and why do you define a disease that is 95% or more survivable...and for which there are preventive supplements and treatments....as a pandemic”?
“Why are Americans being denied early treatment with on-shelf FDA approved safe meds like HCQ and ivermectin...which are available OTC to citizens of other countries”?
I am part of a wonderful private social group. We meet on alternate Sundays for dinner. One of the guys who is in his late sixties disappeared the moment the pandemic panic started. He wouldn’t let any of us inside his home when we checked on him, talking instead through the door. He wore a mask everywhere. (He’s one of those guys who has CNN playing in the background all the time.)
He has gotten his shots. Both of them. But he won’t come back until everyone else is vaccinated. A couple of us have had Covid and are producing our own antibodies. But, he won’t come back until we too are vaccinated.
I like the guy. But I am not taking any shots for a vaccine that was created with brand-spanking new technology. As president Trump pointed out, there are treatments that do not involve the vaccine. Why, then, are we focusing in on a vaccine when it is, in some cases, more deadly than the disease? The treatments are comparatively much cheaper and safer.
And, some of the vaccines were developed under the auspices of men like Bill Gates, who has said he wanted the population of the Earth drastically reduced because of climate change. Why, then, is he working so hard to vaccinate everyone. Even if there isn’t some evil James Bond plot going on, you’d think he would just retire to his panic room until the zombies have all been defeated.
There was a time when I trusted the government. That trust started eroding a long time ago. Probably when LBJ was president and he created The Great Society. Then Jimmy Carter appeared to back every policy that damaged America and encouraged, and in some cases, created, our enemies. The Clintons probably washed away the last of my respect. It has mostly gone down hill from there. Oh, and don’t get me started on the media. I was watching Walter Cronkite when he said, in effect, we had lost the Vietnam war. It was dinner time and I recall lowering my loaded fork without eating its contents. I thought, well, you certainly just made a bad situation a lot worse.
