The 70s this week are very welcome. I’ll take 50s over 30s but that’s a little chilly for my taste.
It’s weird that you’re so much farther south than we are and our flowers are ahead of yours. Our daffies are blooming and our surprise lily leaves have been up for quite a while. Go figure. LOL
Sleep well.
Here is a head shot of Gizmo.
He loves the lake water:
Happy dog as we headed home:
I inadvertently ordered the wrong size bucket of supper from KFc yesterday. I went ahead and bookmarked the page which has the regular supper we order so it never happens again.
More pics from Comanche Lake coming tomorrow morning.
A pretty day like that, it’s no wonder there was a crowd there. It looks like you had plenty of room to roam anyway. Gizmo was a happy pooch. :-)
Oops on ordering the wrong size supper. That bag doesn’t look as full as we’re used to seeing. Good move bookmarking the correct page for future use.
Good morning, radu...hope you had a nice warm, sunny day.
Hoping you are enjoying the new camera at Lake Hood.
Hey there, Kathy.
Not all that warm today but it was sunny. The nice warm-up begins today and goes through the week .... until next Sunday when we drop back into the 50s again.
28 at the moment and that’s colder than they predicted.
The new Lake Hood cam is fantastic and it’s been a lot of fun watching all the small planes take off and land on the ice this weekend. Iditarod has kept the pilots very busy and will as long as the race lasts.
The moose that was hanging out all night close to the Aviation Museum finally woke up and wandered off.
I hope you managed to get a lot lined up for the morning so the day won’t be a total zoo.
Somehow, Daylight Saving Time in Alaska seems somewhat superfluous. :-)
This one is so important:
“If everybody is thinking alike, then somebody isn’t thinking.”
Also this one is great:
“War is simple, direct, and ruthless.”
(Should be)
Also this one:
“Do everything you ask of those you command.”
Also this one:
“War is the supreme test of man in which he rises to heights never approached in any other activity.”
And these:
“A man must know his destiny… if he does not recognize it, then he is lost. By this I mean, once, twice, or at the very most, three times, fate will reach out and tap a man on the shoulder… if he has the imagination, he will turn around and fate will point out to him what fork in the road he should take, if he has the guts, he will take it.”
“In war the only sure defense is offense, and the efficiency of the offense depends on the warlike souls of those conducting it.”
“Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity.”
Amen!!
Amen!!
