Not a concern, we spend 5 times as much on our military as China spends on theirs. Therefore we CANNOT be beaten by them, or anyone else.
Don’t believe this crap, the numbers PROVE them wrong.
Did you write all that with a straight face?
I think the US should surrender immediately and get it over with. If the US Navy goes head to head with the Chinese, expect the US will have to pay China back after we sink all of their major navas assets in the first week. Imagine how much that will cost us as Joe negotiates with China to "do the right thing."
I assume that was sarcasm. We’re at the point now of Japan vs. the US in 1941 but reversed: Either we win quick or we get ground down by the far superior manufacturing capabilities of China, not to mention the imbalance in population and particularly population of science/engineering personnel. Prejudices based on the world of a generation ago no longer apply.
We do all the R&D, their spies steal our plans, data and info, and replicate much of what we have. Don’t kid yourself.

A high percentage of what we spend is on pensions and health care.
There are 10 industries that make a superpower.
10 years ago we controlled all 10.
Now China controls 3or 4
The US have apapox 10,000 patents each years. China last year had almost 50,000.
I have been fighting you china apologist for 20 years.

Thank you for the BS detector. In addition, China’s weak economy wouldn’t stand such a conflict. Doom and gloomers are full of it.
We waste our money and pay extremely high prices. China doesn’t waste their money as much and pay for lower prices.
One U.S. dollar is worth about 6.5 Chinese yuan renminbi. Chinese workers are also paid far less relative to their labor market than U.S. defense contractor employees. Chinese military hardware costs far less than U.S. hardware.
We heard similar arguments on 12/6/41. They didn’t win but the IJN laid a smack down on us all across the Pacific from December 41 to late May 42.
We will be sent reeling if China makes a move with heavy loses. We can win IF we have strong political leadership and military leadership. IMHO we are very deficient in both, as Bitme is incoherent and a would be HOTUS wouldn’t fight. The Joint Chiefs can’t come up with a coherent strategy after 20 years in the middle east for winning, they are sadly incompetent politicians rather than warriors. These two issues leave winning any war with China with the issue in doubt.
That may be but we demonstrate what is possible first. Advancing technology first is far more expensive, the CCP will copy & steal.
Are we buying wiser though or just paying a lot more for things?
