Yes.😒
Fiscal responsibility is sooo 2020...
Checks to the people is the puny portion of the bill.
It’s all the other PORK that’s driving the cost sky high.
Bailout of Blue States. Foreign aid for abortions, etc.
Heard any mention of that? Me either.
Why does a family bringing in $150k need a relief check? Even those bringing in half that or a quarter of that?
We’re sending aid to Xi.

I don’t think anyone here disagrees with you
the point being more people got checks under Trump then this Biden plan
plus 150K for a family in NYC is not the same as South Dakota
So many Biden voters in Blue in high Cost of living areas who were promised “real relief”
just got screwed. They made out better under trump
LOL
plus, if we are going to spend all of this pork anyway, I would rather see Americans get the money instead of all the crap in it
$150K in San Francisco is like $22K in suburban Iowa. Yes, it’s that bad in some areas (and not all are urban). This is also why there’s been a lot of support for the $15 minimum wage in those areas.
Joe Biden just yanked away stimulus checks from 17 million Americans
During the campaign for the two Georgia Senate races, Joe Biden repeatedly promised to pass $2,000 stimulus checks if the Democrats won. After they did, the administration argued that $2,000 really meant $1,400 in addition to the $600 that had already gone out in the December rescue package.
Whether that is true or not, now Biden is inarguably breaking his promise. Under pressure from moderate Senate Democrats, he has reportedly agreed to cut down the formula under which the checks will be sent out. In the previous packages, the amount started phasing out at $75,000 in income for individuals and $150,000 for joint filers, and vanished entirely at $100,000 and $200,000 respectively (as of 2019). Now the phase-out will start start in the same place but end at $80,000 for singles and $160,000 for couples.
Suffice to say, I'm not getting anything but higher tax bills as these federal government money giveaways continue. The currency debasement is draining the purchasing power of my savings.
For similar reasons, I owe $4400
Lucky for me I can have more deducted from my check for this year, but the tax cut has lead to increased taxes for me and mine.
And this is in Iowa, not Illinois!
They don’t do their taxes.
And their credit cards will cover the gap.
