With the increase of oil prices, there will be more demand for electric vehicles. However, the rare earths and lithium needed for them will mean locating them and digging new mines for them. That development will add to the price of the electric vehicles. Then, there will be the demand for electricity which will drive up its cost.
I would say bumbling Biden upset the apple cart.

There is a Sinclair station not too far from me so I got a Sinclair gas card. The first time I used it, I noticed the pump took 10 cents off the listed price per gallon.
Made me happy!
