COSTA MESA (CBSLA) — The price for a gallon of regular gas has climbed as high as $4.05 in Orange County recently, which is why many drivers headed to Sam’s Club in Fountain Valley, where gas was going for $3.30 per gallon Monday — a full 75 cents cheaper than the most expensive stations.
“Gas keeps going up,” Mandy Hall, a driver, said. “I don’t know how they can justify doing like 10 to 20 cents a day, every time I turn around.”
According to the Auto Club of Southern California, gas prices in Los Angeles County have hit their highest rates since December 2019, with self-serve regular gasoline getting more expensive for most of February.
The average price Monday was $3.74 per gallon in L.A. County, following 20 consecutive days of price increases.

Funny. This is the first time gas prices are going through the roof, and big oil isn’t being blamed, its Biden!
Never happen. He will only be replaced by someone worse than him. California loves for people like Newsom and Harris to rule them. Why do I know this? Because they keep electing them.
econ 101, the supply is decreasing...
Wrong, the futures are reacting to the edicts of this administration, starting with shutting down any possibility of the Keystone Pipeline.
The Biden Effect
Yeah, gas prices here are creeping up faster than Joe Biden on a 12 year old girl.
That is what some Freepers were saying about Venezuela. We now know the elections were stolen. With 53 seats and only 11 Republicans it is obvious the RATs in California have perfected the steal there.
“Are we in Blame the Gougers phase or is it beg OPEC time...like the good old days?”
Ya, the ghost of Jimmy Carter past. Get your place in the gas line while you can.

Holy cow- that must be premium gasoline prices- regular is still under $3, in one of the highest tax states-
Yeah, my energy stocks have gone up like a rocket after being in the toilet for a long time!
[[Summer blend!!]]
prices went up a bit in winters under Trump but nowhere near what they are doing under biden who’s only been in office a month now
Here it was $2.50 Jan.30th and now it is $2.90 at Costco.
Name a single democrat who was President and we didn’t have huge increases in gasoline prices...
Now that we have an out-of-the-closet-at-last communist as Presidente, we can expect $5-to-$6 prices per gallon...
I think back to 1943 when I was ten and first had to start shelling out for gasoline, paying 9-cents per gallon at the Jenney station using my grandpop’s ration stamps... By the time I got my drivers license two years later, the prices had sky-rocketed to 11-cents... By then I was working at a gas station after school making 10-cents an hour... Fat city!
By the time I graduated from HS in 1951, the price was about 19-to-21 cents a gallon... When, in 1957, I came home from 6-years in the Corps, gas was up to about 29-to-35 cents a gallon, but, more importantly, draft beers were only 10-cents...
DON’T WORRY. It’s a great thing. The local “news” outlet here has said higher gas prices are a great thing. They are a sure sign of the Biden economic boom we are in. I wish I were kidding. We are up over 70 cents a gallon. And all the stories are “How higher gas prices mean a growing economy.”
It’s as if Saint Obama II is president.
Reported in ScienceDaily, researchers at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm have managed to prove that fossils from animals and plants are not necessary for crude oil and natural gas to be generated. The findings are revolutionary since this means, on the one hand, that it will be much easier to find these sources of energy and, on the other hand, that they can be found all over the globe.

Oh yes! The first time I filled up a vehicle after the coup.
He told you he was going to do this. You let your Trumphatred overide your brain. Now you gonna pay. Big time.
Cue Chuckie Schumer: Blame the oil companies.
