I actually worked in an office in 1972-1973 with a woman who had been a child in Hitler's Germany. She defended "some" of the Nazi ideas and said "America has too much freedom. In Germany we learned people with too much freedom feel uneasy and nervous. They find they like having the government make a lot of the decisions for them. Too much freedom is not a good thing."
I see so much of that today. Dems pass out money as entitlements or "stimulus" and have people depend on the health system. People largely say that's fine.

Fauci became a celebrity due to his TV appearances. He joined the ranks of famous people who know nothing, but go on TV to tell everyone about it.
Fauci became an alternative to Trump. Think about it. The left politicized Covid to hurt Trump through their media minions. In order to do that, you needed a foil to Trump. Somebody “he did not listen to” so they made Fauci into that person.
Remember all the articles and pundits saying Fauci is the one we should listen to and “Trump does not listen to him”?
They built him up on a pedestal. He might want to look towards Cuomo to see his future...... Just saying. He served his purpose, but now the data does not fit, his flip-flops are magnified, and his emails showing collusion with the CCP and WHO as well as funding decisions are suddenly “indefensible”.

Reminds me of when that airhead actress Meryl Streep testified before Congress about a growth regulator used by apple farmers. Even though she didn't know a thing about how the chemical worked, the drive-by media swooned over her testimony.

Fauci did not create the population that wants to be told exactly what to do. I've done nothing but COVID since March 2020, and take it from me, the demands from gen pop to be "told exactly what to do" are massive and unrelenting.

It’s not about too much freedom. It’s about anxiety... the anxiety of having to grow up into responsible adulthood and leave the safety net(coddling) of dependency beyond adolescence and parental entitlement; and then having to find a purpose or pursuit.
Those kinds of people end up WANTING perpetual dependency the same as institutionalized inmates who fear the outside world beyond the regiment of prison life. They demand government delegation of their lives in order to feel normal because they are too afraid of liberty, free choice and the consequences & accountability that go with it. Failure and self-reliance makes them desperate and scares the crap out of them. And of course you will find most of these personalities/types either working for government or collecting welfare.
