Former President Donald Trump delivered his first major speech after leaving office, charting a path forward for the Republican Party and conservatives but suggesting that he might run in 2024.
“I may even decide to beat them for the third time,” he said.
Trump said the conservative movement he created “is far from being over” but did not declare that he would try to run against for president in 2024. “There’s never been a journey more successful,” he remarked, adding that conservatives “will be victorious and stronger and greater than ever before.”
“The future of the Republican Party is as a party that defends the social, economic, and cultural interests and values of working American families—of every race, every color, and every creed. Republicans believe that the needs of everyday citizens must come first,” he said on Sunday at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Orlando, Florida.
Republicans over the next four years will be the bulwark against socialism, communism, and Biden administration policies.
“I’m going to continue to fight right by your side,” he said, adding that he won’t create a “brand new party,” adding: “I am not starting a new party.”
Trump has discussed privately running again for president in 2024, according to advisers. The former president has only delivered a few interviews to news outlets since he departed office in January.
“That’s going to be a decision he makes down the road,” Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel told CBS’s “Face the Nation.”
“I think without question” the Republican Party remains the Trump party, his son Donald Trump Jr., told Fox News on Saturday. “I think you hear it from the voices. I think you see it in the speeches of others that are in government.

RE: the question is when was the second time he beat them???...
OK, I gather you don’t believe that the last November 2020 election was stolen and that Biden won because of fraud.
If you DO believe it, what would he do differently the next time? For all his complaining about fraud months before the election how did the campaign address it?
Yeah and leave Desantis alone we need him right where he is in Fla
you’re obviously not very good at math...
he couldn’t possibly beat them a third time if he didn’t beat them the second time...
DeSantis has made Florida great. Saved you guys from much of the COVID mess.
he’s apparently only beaten them once... that was in 2016...
he made a statement today about beating them a third time...
the question is when was the second time he beat them???... 🤔
Wow. You really can’t figure it out? Must we help you?
Trump was actually saying he won the last election but it was stolen and he’ll return and beat them again a third time in 2024.
go ahead and try...
when was the 2nd time he beat them???...
>>Now the progressive left will steal every election from now on.<<
I honestly think they cheated to give Obozo the win. The first black president, jr. senator with no name recognition wins the white house.
RE: you’re obviously not very good at math...
I was answering the question you originally posed - when did he beat them a second time?
He is an amazing human being in the fight while most folks are on the sidelines. Good luck at your next Liz Cheney rally. All three of you.
Yeah and the Uniparty (R) would completely undermine him again, for the third time. If he sticks with the Uniparty (R) MAGA must move on from Trump or it will die completely. The Uniparty (R) is a much larger threat to MAGA than the Uniparty (D).
Who pissed in your cornflakes ?
Honey, you must be a troll.
Oh, is there an election coming up?
Wrong. He's running, and has already blown out the field.
It's not his fault that you're clueless, Mitch.
Yes. There’s a reason McConnell backtracked at warp speed.
Not bad for a turtle.
Whatever. Just make sure your check to Nikki Haley doesn’t bounce! I hear she needs the money badly!
and nobody can answer the question...
when did he beat them a second time???...
where i’m going with this is there’s something going on here with his comment that people are missing...
Ah, the lessons that were learned. It was not possible to identify beforehand the various ploys that would be used to carry out the various kinds of fraud, but the mail-in ballots, without a reliable chain of custody, was a comparatively new one, and also the means of testing for the validity of the mail-in vote by comparison with signature in Georgia was especially egregious.
The doubled run-through of ballots that were ALREADY counted, plus the 3 AM dump of “found” ballots, were a blatant and deliberate flouting of the election law.
Add to that some kind of algorithm that was added to Dominion voting machines, patterned on the algorithms used in slot machines found in a casino, in which a certain number of votes arbitrarily got changed, subtracting some from the leading candidate and adding them to the one trailing. Or simply not tallying them up at all, or extrapolating a “projected” vote before the actual count was completed.
Plus there were way more ballots submitted in many states than there were actual voters in the given precincts, partly because of outdated voter rolls (in which either persons who had moved away or had died, and still “voted”), and just plain fraudulent ballots.
