Former President Donald Trump delivered his first major speech after leaving office, charting a path forward for the Republican Party and conservatives but suggesting that he might run in 2024.
“I may even decide to beat them for the third time,” he said.
Trump said the conservative movement he created “is far from being over” but did not declare that he would try to run against for president in 2024. “There’s never been a journey more successful,” he remarked, adding that conservatives “will be victorious and stronger and greater than ever before.”
“The future of the Republican Party is as a party that defends the social, economic, and cultural interests and values of working American families—of every race, every color, and every creed. Republicans believe that the needs of everyday citizens must come first,” he said on Sunday at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Orlando, Florida.
Republicans over the next four years will be the bulwark against socialism, communism, and Biden administration policies.
“I’m going to continue to fight right by your side,” he said, adding that he won’t create a “brand new party,” adding: “I am not starting a new party.”
Trump has discussed privately running again for president in 2024, according to advisers. The former president has only delivered a few interviews to news outlets since he departed office in January.
“That’s going to be a decision he makes down the road,” Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel told CBS’s “Face the Nation.”
“I think without question” the Republican Party remains the Trump party, his son Donald Trump Jr., told Fox News on Saturday. “I think you hear it from the voices. I think you see it in the speeches of others that are in government.

On Inauguration day, the qanonsense crowd opened up a bugzapper q thread. Digging it in, just how delusional they are.
It turns out that by ignoring all those q threads, I overlooked a significant development on FR. The qanonsense snowflake crowd somehow attained a caucus status on ‘their’ threads. I ended up with a timeout as a result.
I can only hope that caucus status can be extended to other issues where the FR seagulls engage in mobtrolling.
I wonder who Trump would choose as his VP candidate in the next election? He needs to excise the GOPees, RINOs, and squishes. He needs to pick someone who would be the heir apparent for the Trumplican agenda moving forward, a GOP populist.
The only GOP populist I see on the horizon is Sarah Palin.
yes I agree. He will be a bit too old then and we need someone who has military experience and will pick patriots to be in his foxhole. Trump has opened the dam already and fought PC like no other but the swamp beat him and we will need younger blood with lots of vigor.

The fact that there is an ongoing operation to rid our country of the entrenched corruption of the deep state is not delusional. Actually this fight between good and evil is a worldwide war that is in its final stage. Many things are changing all over the world. We are going to be launching a new financial system that will replace our bankrupt fiat system with a gold backed system. Its coming online very soon.

That's not the type of government we (are supposed to) have.
The federal executive branch isn't in charge of "protecting" the ballot box in the states.
The individual states are, they failed to protect their ballot boxes.
In particular, the contested states of Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Arizona and Georgia were the (R)'s controlled their legislatures. They are the ones who failed.
Now, if you want to say the SCOTUS failed in their duty to hear a case(s) concerning an election that affects everyone....sure. They failed too.
But Trump, as the chief executive, didn't have the authority to do anything in this case, other than bring a lawsuit to SCOTUS.
The "ballot boxes" are the domain of each individual state.
