Lots of considerations. What are the means by which Harris will rise to the top? Biden resigns? Jill will be OK with that? Or the 25th Amendment? Optics are everything to these people; they won’t want to publicly admit they supported someone unfit for office or pulled a bait and switch. And they don’t want to tear their party apart either since party above all else is paramount to them.
A lot of this is just bad management practices. The Democrats let their far left wing run amok and they act like spoiled children now demanding ice cream for lunch.

I still think it’s important as to who will be her VP. Ford’s VP Nelson Rockefeller held no public office at the time when he was appointed VP meaning they could put Hillary in.
