When those thousands of businesses went under, so did the
capital it took to run them.
Life savings were wiped out. Sure Capitalism is the way to
go, but thousands of people who supplied the nation with
workers will no longer be able to do so.
A lot of wealth just evaporated.
I get that. I just think that the better way to recover is not to plaster the economy with newly conjured up money, but to allow the productive resources of this country to be re-employed.
