Agencies at the United Nations have launched efforts this week to transport 25,000 asylum seekers back to the United States after being made to stay in Mexico under the Trump administration’s Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP).
According to a press release from the UN Refugee Agency on Wednesday, the tens of thousands of asylum seekers have active immigration cases in the U.S., but were returned to wait in Mexico under the MPP program. The UN agencies’ action comes after the U.S. and Mexican governments requested UN assistance with migrant re-entry.
The Refugee Agency began in-person registration of nearly 750 people from the camp in Matamoros on Wednesday, and the first group was expected to be approved to enter the U.S. by the end of the week.

The vast majority of asylum cases were without merit. Knowing this, asylum seekers would skip the hearings and remain in US illegally. La Bestia and the Caravans were the result of this free pass into the USA.
Trump ended that with orders to deport asylum seekers. Asylum seekers were now trapped in Mexico, awaiting hearings that may never occur. Mexico, seeing the unwanted refugees stuck in their country, made moves to close its own borders and deny the caravans' free passage. Several other Central American countries followed suit.
Now Biden has returned us to catch-and-release. Soon all borders will be open again, and the flood of immigrants will be unstoppable.
Remember Obama dreamed of our troops being under the command of the United Nations, and wearing light blue helmets while taking orders?
The helmeted UN troops are probably herding the world’s illegal alien “asylum seekers” to get in and onto American welfare right now. Will ours be next under Biden?

In UN-speak a “refugee” is a Muslim man of military service age with no family or children coming with him.
