At least two of the co-authors will be well-known to FReepers: Pierre Kory, G U. Meduri, Jose Iglesias, Joseph Varon, Keith Berkowitz, Howard Kornfeld, Eivind Vinjevoll, Scott Mitchell, Fred Wagshul and Paul E. Marik.
There is probably no new information for well-read FReepers, but it seems more people are just learning about Ivermectin every day, so I thought it worthwhile to add this paper to the COVID-19 body of information. Maybe it will be helpful to somebody even though it is old news to most of us.
My sister was in the hospital for a week due to COVID and accompanying pneumonia. They said it was too late for remdesivir, but they gave her ivermectin.
So what is the dose and is it a one off dose....or follow up dose needed....just askin for a fren.
Peer reviewed. huh? When? During the fascist Trump administration?
Another outbreak of racism and homophobia that oppresses womyn of color and children most!

Thanks for this information!!!
“Peer-reviewed study: Ivermectin cuts COVID infections, deaths by 75%”
On the low side, from what I’ve read, but still pretty darn good. I think people here who ‘trust their doctor’ might be starting to catch on that doctors have to feed their families too, and if they are told to say Ivermectin is useless, they will say “Ivermectin is useless” (with very rare exceptions). Likewise, if they’re told to tell you meat is bad, statins are good, and carb-loading is fine for dealing with weight and/or diabetes issues - they will say that “meat is bad, statins are good, and carb-loading is fine for dealing with weight and/or diabetes issues”
Ivermectin is no better than ‘snake oil’ says the pharma executive who will not profit enough from an inexpensive drug.
Same with Hydroxychloroquine.
Thankfully though facebook & twatter are censoring any such information in the name of ‘safety’...safety for pharma profits.
I wonder when this study will be published? The authors were expecting publication in early February but apparently it has been delayed.
Can someone help me with the math? If the virus is say 99.4% survivable already, before any kind of preventative, won’t a 75% improvement take that up to around nearly 100% survivable?
You would think that docs would send folks home, who aren’t critical already w any that is, with a dose of ivermectin, and say “take at the first signs of not feeling well. If you need more, there’s plenty to go around “, and this virus pandemic would be nothing more than what a typical flu would be.
I also understand that taking it when critically ill is pretty effective too? But if not, the there are other treatments that are, but it could be given as a complimentary too. To those that are critical I would thjnk?
No! Burkas and shutdowns are all we can do!!
