You too would have been let go, if even charged with a BAC of 0.02%. That there was any question of impropriety is ludicrous on its face.
This was the purest of posturing by some hick sheriff’s deputy trying to make a name for himself. No law was broken, but a crap ton of publicity ensued for Springsteen.
DUI laws apply to those we enforce them on.

Laws are for little people, but campaign (or personal?) donations from Jeep are for the people who count.

This was a fiasco from Day One because he was arrested on Federal property and the case was being administered in Federal court. They probably spent three months figuring out just how the hell to proceed, and which counts would ever stand up in Federal court.
