'I'll kill you': Video shows sheriff's deputy threatening man with gun while in traffic

Houston, TX — A Houston sheriff's deputy is under investigation after video shows him pulling a gun on a driver and threatening to kill him.

The driver says traffic forced him to stop suddenly while the deputy was driving on a motorcycle behind him.

He says that angered the deputy.

“I mean, that's not something you do every day is threaten to kill somebody. If I threatened to kill somebody, I’d go to jail,” said George Dickerson, who had a gun pulled on him by a deputy. "If I held a gun to whomever and said I’m going to kill you, that's a terroristic threat."

He says he got caught up between two officers working a funeral procession Monday afternoon on the south loop.

Dickerson says the motorcycle officer in front of him slammed on their brakes, so he did the same, which forced the Harris County deputy on a motorcycle behind him to do the same.

"He said he was going to kill me because I stopped too short, and it wasn't intentional. I was doing so because of the traffic, because of the cop in front of me. You know? I'm in a work truck. I'm definitely not going to be out there being a jerk,” said Dickerson.

His work partner caught the interaction on his phone, but they didn't need the video to remember the gun pointed their direction on the south loop.

"I just didn't feel like it was right. You know, I woke up this morning, I was terrified,” said Dickerson.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office says they are aware of the video and investigation is taking place into what happened.

"I know they're not all like that. You know, there's just, there's a few while everybody else is amazing,” said Dickerson.

Video at the link. And it's VERY disturbing to hear a cop say he wants to effin kill someone while holding a gun in his hand.

I certainly hope this dangerous person not only gets fired but charged with a felony so he can't carry a gun anymore. He is clearly a threat to the good people of Houston!

Did this cop pass his pre-employment psych eval?

Serious question, according to Dr. Clarissa Cole, fully half the people she failed got hired anyway.

More deaths means more funeral escort gigs.

Are they saying that some people drive on Houston’s South Loop and do not have someone point a gun at their head?

He will get away with doing it. He is a cop. They may say that they fired him. But they will hire him back or another agency in the area will pick him up. He won’t miss a day’s pay.

The only thing that surprises me about this article is that it didn’t involved a Florida LEO.

Fire the cop. When they’re working a funeral procession, they’re private hired security, and can be charged for assault just like ordinary folks. Should be charged for assault, at the very least be fired.

He should receive the same treatment as a civilian. Multiple charges, assault, terroristic threatening, harrassing with intent to harm, attempted murder.
Here in Ky the police will charge you with attempted murder with a vehicle if your wheels are turned in their general direction.
He deserves more than to just be fired.

Any Regular Citizen without a magic Blue Costume would be Immediately Locked up with at least a $1 Million dollar bail and be facing serious Felony Prison time.

When I lived in Georgia they fired a policeman for pulling a gun on a McDonald’s worker because he had to wait too long in the drive through line.

Did this cop pass his pre-employment psych eval?

For Houston PD, he passed with flying colors.
