Merrick Garland! Neera Tanden! Xavier Becerra! The Dems are really overplaying their hand: Will the Republicans cave?
American Thinker ^ | 02/23/2021 | Patricia McCarthy

Merrick Garland, the man Obama wanted to put on the SCOTUS, is now President Biden's choice to be his attorney general.  Based on what we heard Monday, we can breathe a sigh of relief that he never made it onto the Supreme Court.

p>But then again, those whom Trump did get confirmed for the court have thoroughly abdicated their responsibility, betrayed the oath they took as justices.  With the exception of Justices Thomas, Alito, and Gorsuch, it appears there are no other actual constitutionalists seated there.

YouTube screen grab (cropped).

But back to Garland.  He evaded answering most questions posed by Republicans.  He compared the January 6 events at the Capitol to the Oklahoma City bombing (168 killed)!  He refused to condemn the billions of dollars in damage done by Antifa and BLM as domestic terrorism but vowed to prosecute all who were involved in the January 6 breach, even though the only person with a gun was the person who shot and killed Ashli Babbitt.  It should be clear to every sentient American that what happened that day was carefully planned, not by Trump-supporters, but by their opponents, who strategized that a conflagration would be the perfect stunt with which to impugn the president.

Garland's evasive non-answers were truly shocking.  Why didn't the Republicans in the room get up and walk out?  Why do the Republicans always cave in collective knee-jerk fashion to the authoritarian pretenses of the left?  It is a question for the ages, for it has so long been true.  Trump's brash courage to fight back showed us who the good guys are and who the cowards are.  Sadly, those with the courage of their conservative pro-American convictions are too few.

Caving is what Republicans do best.

Flimsey Grahamnesty says Senile Joe should get his picks and can’t wait to rubber-stamp them.

In this environment, I don’t believe it’s possible for the Dems to overplay their hand.

And Republicans always cave, it’s their role.

That’s so funny: “Will Republicans cave?” Not sure; they’ve never caved before.

Neera Tanden, Biden's nomination to be the director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), was a former Hillary Clinton adviser and the current president of the leftist Center for American Progress, has made a career of dividing.

In a 2016 press release, the Catholic Medical Association decried revelations of how Tanden, alongside John Podesta, the current chair of her board, plotted to spur division among Catholics for political gain, saying "the strategy of using contraception as a wedge issue has been 'successful as a political cudgel, helping isolate extreme ... [pro-life] advocates from the mainstream.'"

It is no wonder she is described as a "key architect" of the Affordable Care Act (AKA Obamacare), which was used repeatedly to go after nuns (the Little Sisters of the Poor) for their religious views regarding abortion and contraception.  That fight is still ongoing, and with this pick, Biden sends a signal of where it is headed.

He is following through on his promise as a candidate to return to the Obama-era policy of persecuting nuns.  White House press secretary Jen Psaki was recently asked, "If Biden still planned to go after the religious and moral objection exemptions given his stated goal of bringing the country together."  She reiterated that "there's not a change in his position from what he said earlier this summer," even though, as customary, she promised to "circle back."

Well.... SHE's BACK!! Unless Republicans stop it ( Not optimistic. With Mitt Romney, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski, we practically have 3 more Democrats in the Senate).

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a party that refused to cave all the time? Wouldn’t it be great to have a party that stands for something? Imagine having a party that didn’t lie to us.

A real party instead of a fake one. Maybe someday.

All future elections are sown up. Dems don’t even have to pretend any longer. Republicans will quickly loose any fight (as miniscule as it is) that they had.

The only thing the Repubs “stand up” for is the DS.

There is no opposition to the evil Dems. Only UniParty. Just look at McConnell and McCarthy’s actions, since the stolen election.
