At this point it makes NO difference what they or any other professional sports team does to try and get the public to either ignore their actions or forgive them for their actions.
As for me and my family there will be no professional sports in our house. And we are getting that way about college sports.
If someone appreciates soccer played at the highest level, woman’s soccer doesn’t even come close:

As for "moving past" the protesting phase. No, they have not. They stopped that particular form of protest. Not because anything has changed. Oh sure, they'll claim they "raised awareness" or some such BS. But really they stopped because no-one noticed, no-one gives a damn, nor gave a damn. They've stopped getting attention for it, so they stopped. Reveals their true motives...
I don't care. They didn't stop disrespecting the Flag and our Country because it was the right thing to do. They stopped just as they started - for their own selfish reasons. 'Eff 'em.
Finally, they are still "protesting" apparently - by wearing blm jackets. As long as they are going to show support for a domestic terrorist organization like blm and/or antifa, I'll never show them a bit of support. I won't even bother to go find out what they're playing that I won't be watching.

I enjoy watching Soccer, usually the Premier League and especially World Cup play, and I also enjoy watching our national women’s team, they’re very good.
However, their protests are boring, trite, and irksome. They come off as little more than an opportunistic clique of insecure privileged mean girls seeking attention. Apparently the team’s record of very significant athletic accomplishments fails to satisfy their personal thirst for public adoration. Consequently, like Wiggers, Wangstras, and Wannabes they appropriate racial or deviant sexual grievances as symbols they can safely embrace and thus magnify the public veneration and consequent self esteem they so desperately crave but which remains ultimately unfulfilled.
The problem is not limited to women’s Soccer teams, nor to women’s athletics, or to Hollywood starlets, or to female politicians, but seems to bedevil a great number of otherwise accomplished men, women, and girls beyond the age of puberty.
Let’s be honest. It was all about hurting Trump. Had notjhing to do with the flag or black lives.
