So the late term baby is born/aborted alive. Then when they are ready for tissue harvest, they stab him in the heart with a large needle to kill him. Dr Madej likens it to human sacrifice rituals. She says this kind of information is available to read in old, detailed lab notes from the researchers.

She also clarifies that they ended up using neon green luminescence rather than luciferase (for tracking).
