The United States stood Sunday at the brink of 500,000 COVID-19 deaths as Dr Anthony Fauci warned that Americans could be wearing masks into 2022 despite infections falling 77 per cent over the last six weeks.
A year into the pandemic, the running total of lives lost was about 498,000 — roughly the population of Kansas City, Missouri, and just shy of the size of Atlanta.
The figure compiled by Johns Hopkins University surpasses the number of people who died in 2019 of chronic lower respiratory diseases, stroke, Alzheimer's, flu and pneumonia combined.

500,000 people have died over the past year, most not of Covid, but with Covid.
If you had covid and diabetes and died, you died of the covid and with diabetes not the other way around. The people that I saw that died of covid died of covid not with it. But continue to perpetuate that u truth to downplay the number of dead if it makes you feel better.
An acquaintance died in a car crash in Florida.
She had visited a nursing home the previous day.
Ruled Covid death.
A good friend, 90, with COPD, developed pneumonia. Ruled Covid death.
Covid test result never released.
80,000 died in US in 2028 due to common flu.
I believe maybe 150,000 have died from Covid. The rest were doctored numbers (pun intended) to grab the payouts or help the cause.
Why wasn’t this guy fired?
India population: 1.3 billion
US population: .3 billion
India deaths from Covid-19: 150,000
US deaths from Covid: 500,000
The numbers make no sense. Scam alert. Do a Google search on the above 4 items.
People are dying of diseases that were neglected by this scamdemic. So lets get this straight.............you get the vax, you may still get covid, you still need to wear a mask and maybe 2, and you still have to social distance. Turning out to be real BULLSH##
Two possible explanations come to mind as I look at that. Either the US numbers are inflated, or India is doing a better job at early treatment. Maybe some of both.
How many lives are destroyed because of lockdowns?
I’m guess you didn’t miss a paycheck, did you Doc?
Suicides?
Preventable diseases left unchecked?
Relapse death?
Domestic violence?
If 500K died of covid, what purpose did the lockdowns serve?
Things are back to normal in my neck of the woods.
More people are dying from old age, car accidents, and homicides.
No one pays attention when around 3 million die each year that way.
I think the biggest issue yet to come is economic fallout from the lockdowns. Bankruptcies, evictions, inflation...
If one owned a small business making 100K to 500K(or more), but a resume to pull in 50K, there will be issues.

The issues are hard to hide.
I’m outside Philly, and I see 50+ y/o White people delivering groceries and Amazon.
It was not like that in 2019.
Tons of people are underemployed, at least around me.
Republicans need to demand an audit of official death figures like that, for reasons that have been amply discussed on FR. Unfortunately, even some conservative news sites quote them without question.

If you have a actually read any of my posts i am a strong proponent that masks and lockdowns don’t work and cause more harm than good. No I didn’t lose any pay. I spent my days hip deep in frightened ill and dying people with a disease I worried about taking home to my family every day, but I still went to work. My comment was to address the opinion around here that covid is a fraud and people don’t really die of it. They do. Now take your nasty attitude and false assumptions and kindly piss off.
