When democrats were down in the House - even before Trump - they went into red districts and choose people who would appeal to Republicans knowing if they won they would NEVER have real power...in the Democrat Party. And their only reason for being elected was to take over majority status. They were place holders... They chose vets - honest likable people with middle of the road ideas... and never planned on giving them any say whatsoever.

The gop is finished and if there are no changes to the 2 party system then our victories will never again be seen. I don’t think there is any doubt that the power brokers ON BOTH SIDES OF THE AISLE have any opposition to the status quo, and would fight any changes to the election system which would truly allow for honest and fair elections.
