He aspires to become President .. (remember 2016?) .. or are you suggesting that he's reached his 'Peter Principle' in being a Senator?
He was never going to be President. But now he has no chance of it for sure. Dukasis and the Tank level of killing off your career.
I don’t know how he turns this around but he better get on the ground and do something.
He is a very smart man but he just isn’t likeable. He would have been a better SCOTUS than some on the bench.
