Rest In Peace, Rush.

You will live on in our hearts forever.

Aside note: I waited to post these NewsMax and One America News Articles to show there is some unbiased and objective News still written, both headline and article.

Rush Limbaugh, “Maha Rushie”, gone much too soon. But perhaps he has inspired a whole generation of disciples, more than any can imagine, and his words will ring down through the future history still to be written.

Rush could expostulate almost endlessly, without notes and never repetitively, as more and more of his wisdom continued to gush all the time he was speaking, which made for uncommonly entertaining radio at the same time he was weaving a whole revelation of the honest history of our times. And unbelievably, three hours each afternoon had suddenly evaporated, and he was out of broadcast time with his stack of stuff still not exhausted.

In the end, was Rush ever wrong in his assessments and predictions? Well, yeah, but he was right some 99.87% of the time (or whatever the running figure was). But he never obsessed about it, just made the running corrections as necessary and with full explanation, transparent as always.

His formerly nicotine-stained fingers will never again rustle his show notes in front of the Golden EIB microphone.

A nation mourns.

I was lucky enough to attend Rushstock, aka Dan’s Bake Sale, in the Spring of ‘93. Magic time!

He was unique in being the first person I'd ever heard who used comedy / satire / sarcasm against liberals.

They've always considered the art of political sarcasm as the birthright of the Left, to be solely targeted against conservatives and Christians.

They've never forgiven him for turning the tables on them.

Witness the vileness of their hatred as they now dance on his grave.

My hero, listened from 1991 until today. He never failed us, brilliant and well loved. RIP Rush.

I have posted elsewhere. But, I hope that Rush's friends and family are reading the posts here. Rush, to me felt like a member of my family. He was, of course, subject to the attacks that prominent conservatives always are. I agonized over his rejection by the NFL and ESPN. I was heartbroken over his deafness, and addiction to painkillers.

For thirty years, he was my mentor. My compass. My voice of sanity. He would come on my radio and would deliver an insight that was not kneejerk, not cookie cutter, but insightful in a way that only Rush Limbaugh could conceive it.

To his friends and family, if any media figure can be so deeply beloved, it was Rush Limbaugh. Legend hardly even starts the conversation. And to think, he had considered himself a failure at 35.

An true American hero.

repost:

...There was a group back in the 1990s — and they still exist.
There was a group in the 1990s that were malcontents, renegades, and off the mainstream plantation of conservatism as articulated by the party.
Those were the people that were the early participants in the website Free Republic.
They were known as Freepers. - Rush Limbaugh, July 3, 2013

Only very rare people make such an impact that you cannot imagine daily life without them.

Rush is - was - one of those people. He will be so very missed.

Rest in peace, big guy.

We each pick up a little bit of Rush's load, and we each voice a bit of Rush's philosophy and advice each day.

We knew it was coming but it’s still hard to take.

R.I.P., Rush. You will never be forgotten and will be in the history books as a “Founding Father,” so to speak, of conservative talk radio.
